The LT Series lithium iron phosphate batteries are cold-weather performance batteries that can charge at temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F). How? The system features proprietary technology that draws power from the charger itself, requiring no additional components. The entire process of heating and charging is completely seamless. Simply plug the battery into the regular lithium charger and the internal heating and monitoring system takes care of the rest.
Learn MoreOur Low Temperature Series batteries look and operate exactly like our other batteries, with the same power and performance. They have the same charge time at above-freezing temperatures. They also feature the same dimensions, configuration, and connectivity of its standard counterparts, making them drop-in replacements in applications that already use RELiON batteries. And they’re ideal upgrades for those who are still using lead-acid batteries in low-temperature environments.
RELiON's Low Temperature Series batteries have been a hit with remote monitoring, off-grid enthusiasts, RV adventurers and more. Learn more about the RB52-LT and RB300-LT and their suggested applications!
In this Tech Video, we're discussing RELiON's LT Series and how to use our batteries in colder temperatures. Are you ready to prep your winter set-up?
The RB20-LT is a 12V 20Ah LT Series lithium battery. Small, but powerful, it's perfect for small solar energy systems, remote monitoring, LED lighting, traffic control cameras and other smaller applications where cold-temperature charging is needed.
Get the SpecsThe RB52-LT is a 12V 52Ah LT Series lithium battery. Compact and lightweight, but powerful, it's perfect for small solar energy systems, remote monitoring, kayaking, and other smaller applications where cold-temperature charging is needed.
Get the SpecsThe RB100-LT is a 12V 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery that can charge at temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F). The system features proprietary technology which draws power from the charger itself, requiring no additional components. The RB100-LT is an ideal choice for use in RVs, off-grid solar, electric vehicles, and in any application where charging in colder temperatures is necessary.
Get the SpecsThe RB300-LT is an 8D size, 12V 300Ah lithium iron phosphate battery that requires no additional components such as heating blankets. This Low-Temperature Series battery has the same size and performance as the RB300 battery but can safely charge when temperatures drop as low as -20°C using a standard charger. The RB300-LT is an ideal choice for use in Class A and Class C RVs, off-grid solar, overland, and in any application where charging in colder temperatures is necessary.
Get the SpecsOur superior InSight Series® is now available with LT technology! The InSight 12V is a GC2 size lithium iron phosphate battery perfect for all classes of RVs. A powerhouse lithium battery capable of 2,048 watts continuous, so you can run more appliances for longer periods of time.
Get the Specs"As a full-time geek adventurer, my power system is critical. It has to function or I don't have a job. These batteries take a charge quickly and have an amazing amount of capacity as compared to my previous VLRA Gel Hybrids. The difference is stark. For instance, with my old setup I had problems keeping the 4x 100AH bank fully charged with 400 Watts of solar and an MPPT controller. Mostly because the bank would not take the charge current efficiently. My new RELiON setup is 200Ah and is charged by 200 Watts of solar. They're fully charged in no time. The ability to charge these "LT" batteries in cold temps was a huge selling point for me. They're just easy. No fuss, no worry, they just work great. I don't have to be constantly worrying about my usage or State of Charge."
"These are the only lithium batteries made for those of us who explore into truly wild areas that have unpredictable weather. All of you competition requires a significant amount work to insure the battery bank will stay warm."

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Jason Bucholtz was no stranger to the extreme cold temperatures he encountered in his new home in Colorado, but he had never before had to find a way to deliver reliable power in below freezing temperatures to a remote cabin miles from the nearest utility connection. Jason’s cabin is so remote that he relies on a snow vehicle just to reach his property, particularly as the nearby logging roads are not maintained.
