Nearly 4 million Californians lack adequate access to food. The availability of fresh fruits and vegetables through food recovery programs promotes a healthier environment, greater economic resilience, and more equitable communities. Food Forward is able to provide 200 varieties of vitamin rich produce to millions of people each year. Their efforts to collect food that would otherwise go to waste also prevents 49,157 metric tons of CO2 from being released.
RELiON is proud to have donated funds to help recover 350,000 pounds of surplus produce to help communities experiencing food insecurity. We are also thrilled to be a sponsor for their annual Spring Melt fundraising event, which will include recipes, chefs, and more food fun, virtually!
