Ish Monroe

Fishing is more than just a sport to California-based pro angler, Ish Monroe - it’s a way of life. When Ish was in high school, gangs, violence, and drugs drew in many of his friends, but fishing kept him grounded and out of those lifestyles. Ish first learned to fish with his father and grandfather on the Huron River. He was hooked. At the age of 14, Ish participated in his first fishing tournament. He eventually went on to win 5 BASS events including the first BASS Elite 2006 Lake Amistad and 5 MLF/ FLW events. In total, Ish has earned over $2.4 million in career winnings. Ish recently decided to upgrade his battery system to RELiON lithium batteries to enable him to fish longer without worrying about his power needs.

Ish’s Skeeter FXR21 boat is powered by one RELiON 12V RB100-HP battery and three RELiON 12V RB100 batteries. The RB100-HP battery powers his livewell, lights, Sonichub Marine radio, bilge pumps, and all electronics, including two Lowrance 12 Pros, one Lowrance 16 Pro, one Lowrance Active Target 2, and two Power-Pole Blades. Ish’s three RB100 batteries power his trolling motor.
