Gene Jensen

Born and raised in Covington, Georgia, Gene Jensen developed a deep love for fishing at an early age, spending countless hours trout fishing with his dad. As a teenager, he was introduced to bass fishing by his best friend, igniting a lifelong passion for the sport. An Army veteran and dedicated family man, he has four children—three sons aged 22, 20, and 16, and a 15-year-old daughter. His sons often join him on fishing trips whenever they can. As one of the original fishing YouTubers, Gene was an influencer before the term became popular. His journey into content creation began as a Scoutmaster, where he introduced many scouts to bass fishing. To accommodate the growing interest among his scouts, he started making instructional videos and uploading them to the then-new YouTube platform. Realizing the broader impact of his videos, he pursued this endeavor more seriously and grew his platform, finding great joy in the stories of those he helped. Today, Gene continues to produce videos and guide kayak fishing tours, combining his passion for the sport with a commitment to educating and inspiring others.
